CREATIVE AND EXPERIMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY: A TALK BY JOHN HUMPHREY FRPS (VIA ZOOM TO THE ROOM)
John Humphrey’s photographs cover a wide range of subjects. He specialises in close-up, floral and abstract studies using a combination of digital and film images.

John is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. His pictures have been shown in many exhibitions, including the London Salon of Photography and the International Print and Projected Exhibitions of the Royal Photographic Society.

John runs a range of photographic events including Royal Photographic Society workshops on Macro and Art Photography and Creative Techniques in Photoshop. He presents ‘Behind The Lens’ sessions at the UK’s annual Photography Show. John also acts as a photography judge and adviser in prestigious international competitions including IGPOTY, the International Garden Photographer of the Year.

TOOLS NOT RULES – A TALK BY CAROLINE PREECE LRPS (VIA ZOOM TO THE ROOM) 
Caroline’s objective was to introduce people to a different way of thinking about photography and composition, which she certainly did.  Members were very interested in what Caroline had to say and greatly appreciated her talk.

Wednesday 17th December – CHRISTMAS COMPETITION ‘LIGHT’
Our Christmas Competition and Social will be held at the Bell Inn as usual.  The judge will be Graeme Wales ARPS CPAGB BPE2* AFIAP
Penny Westmoreland has kindly agreed to look after arrangements for the meal and to liaise with the pub.  We still need a judge and ultimately the success of the evening will be down to you and your brilliant images!

JANUARY – MARCH 2026.  ANNUAL EXHIBITION
Exact dates to be confirmed for our Annual Exhibition at Teddington and Hampton Libraries.

David is a Fellow and Distinctions Assessor of the Royal Photographic Society. He specializes in Street and Fine Art Photography

Wednesday 18th February – Tony Harris ARPS
A retired/semi-retired hotel and restaurant photographer who lives locally. ‘He says of himself:  From five-star hotels to local bakeries, I’ll capture your business in its best light’ but his photographic work is much wider than that.

Wednesday 18th March – AGM and Picture Sharing
The end of one year and the beginning of another.   This meeting is to review the past year and set up the next!  Volunteers to run the society will be needed this year!

Wednesday 15th April – Picture Selection for the SPA Digital Imaging Competition.

The SPA.  Coming Events and Competitions for the SPA are:
Saturday 06 December 2025.  SPA Inter-club Print Championship at East Horsley Village Hall (see above).  Submissions had to be uploaded by Saturday 15 November 2025 but not too late to go along and see some great work from the top Surrey Clubs.
