NEXT MEETING
Wednesday 16TH July at 8.00pm
In person at the Bell Inn, Hampton
A presentation by Fred Barrington, FRPS “My View of the World”
Fred will be presenting IN PERSON

Our speaker tonight will be Fred Barrington FRPS (2022) who describes himself as an enthusiastic amateur who has lived in London all his life but is well-travelled from Antarctica to Cambodia and many countries in Europe including England.

Fred will talk about his photography and hopefully show us images from his long photographic career.  Many of his images are lines and shapes, patterns and colours and architectural – often with a dash of humour.

Until fairly recently he was President of Beckenham Photographic Society and is an active volunteer with RPS London and with the RPS Visual Arts Special Interest Group.  Fred held a solo exhibition at the Bonnington Cafe in Vauxhall in 2024 and is holding an exhibition in Mayfair jointly with James Kirkland at the end of this month.

LAST MEETING
Wednesday 18th June
We enjoyed a presentation from Julian Elliott on Patagonia:  Journey to the end of the World.

An award-winning professional freelance landscape and travel photographer as well as an occasional writer, Julian constantly travels the world and, on this occasion, joined the meeting via zoom from Vietnam-  so for him it was the middle of the night!  Unfortunately the sound quality was not as good as it might have been due to fans running in the background, but the group enjoyed the talk and hearing about Julian’s adventures in Patagonia, and the difficulties of getting images for clients wit very little time and few opportunities in which to do so.

As a reminder and so you can see more of Julian’s work, here is his website:  Travel & Landscape Photographer – Julian Elliott – UK & France  and here is a link to his Gallery, where you can see some of his photos of Patagonia and Tierra Del Fuego Photos of Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego & Torres del Paine
