A TALK BY HOSPITALITY PHOTOGRAPHER TONY HARRIS ARPS
Tony is a professional hospitality photographer and will talk about:  “A Life behind the Camera”. 
He will cover a number of individual projects on which he has worked during his very successful career including

  • Ford Tractors
  • Coca-Cola
  • Goodyear Tyres – blimp calendars
  • Maroush Restaurants
  • The Cavendish

And he will add in a recipe book for The England Rugby Union Team annual charity project plus ‘Kokoro’ a Korean restaurants chain and the Cheval Collection interiors of up-market apartments.

Tony has been a hospitality photographer for over 35 years, working closely with hotel/restaurant and marketing directors.  His work has taken him all over the world, but he considers that some of his best work has been done right here at home in London, including capturing show-stopping cocktails at Sofitel St James and delicious dishes at Jeru in Mayfair.

LAST MEETING
David RUTTER FRPS
David is a highly accomplished photographer with a wide range of skills from Visual Arts to Street; there is little that he cannot demonstrate.  He kept many of his audience enthralled during the evening with his story and even sold one or two workshop places!

ANNUAL EXHIBITION
The Open Evening of the Annual Exhibition was very successful with about 60 visitors.  The panel competition was won by Mike Eagan with his expert wildlife panel and Rosie took second place with her set of urban images.

FUTURE MEETINGS
Wednesday 18th March at the Bell Inn – AGM and Picture Sharing
The end of one year and the beginning of another.   This meeting is to review the past year and set up the next!  Volunteers to run the society will be needed this year!

Wednesday 15th April at the Bell Inn – Picture Selection for the SPA Digital Interclub Competition.

Wednesday 20th May at the Bell Inn – Presentation to be confirmed.

SURREY PHOTOGRAPHIC ASSOCIATION (SPA) AND PHOTOGRAPHIC ALLIANCE OF GREAT BRITAIN (PAGB) NEWS

The PAGB.  The next opportunities for Adjudication will be 25/26 April 2026 in Cumbria and 28/29 November in Colchester.  More information can be found on this website:  https://the pagb.org.uk

The SPA.  A number of members submitted digital both images and prints for the Biennial Exhibition in Guildford:  which have been selected has not yet been announced!
