PHOTOGRAPHY TALK: London Streets: the Monopoly Project by Peter Merry

This project is the result of years of photography, visiting over 40 locations and covering more than 70 miles of walking around London.

About this event
“London Streets: The Monopoly project” is the result of a year of photography, visiting over 40 locations and covering more than 70 miles of walking and photographing around London. The project features 120+ images showing the highs and lows from each location of the London monopoly board.

The talk covers why the project was started, and the approach to finding, shooting, editing and image selection.

We also look at some of the stories that unfolded during the project; from a drug deal in the West End to why there is a Czech Army T-34 tank just off the Old Kent Road.

The talk also looks at the life the project has taken on after the photography had finished; including a popular blog post, the project talks, an exhibition and a magazine.
